MApping the WAR
Welcome to "Mapping the War", where we showcase Memorial Libraries geographic resources related to the First World War. A number of resources involve the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to help understand the geographic context of the war, and highlight collections and resources. We are continuing to build these resources, and will be available once completed. Other links point to the valuable collections held in the QEII Library's Map Room.
|Learn about the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and its role in Gallipoli, Beaumont-Hamel, Monchy-le-Preux, Cambrai, Gueudecourt, and the Hundred Day Offensive. Each section is complemented by a series of maps that will help understand the nature of the engagement. Cambrai, Gueudecourt, and the Hundred Day Offensive are currently under development. Each Story Map is enhanced by the inclusion of relevant resources from the MUN Libraries collection.|
